Welcome to Digital Politics

Hi, welcome. Thanks for signing up (if you haven't done that already, you can do that here.) I'll be publishing every Monday, and will focus on what I know best: how the worlds of politics and technology are colliding like never before.

Expect a mixture of posts about social media, digital competition, online privacy and — what else — artificial intelligence. There'll probably be some geopolitics and a heavy dose of snark, too.

As I embark on the next stage of my career as a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab's Democracy + Tech Initiative, focused on digital governance, my goal here will be to reflect on how policymakers, politicians, tech executives and civil society groups are grappling with many of the questions that will define society in the years to come.
